Where did the name Mama Bird’s come from?
Mama and Bird are the nicknames for Lesley and Nick’s daughters.

We do! We love experimenting with new flavors and combinations. Reach out if you have an idea we should try out.

Catering FAQs

I saw you offer ice cream pops as a catering option… what is an ice cream pop?
Ice cream pops are homemade ice cream that has been molded and dipped in a chocolate coating. Delicious!

Can I come in to try the ice cream before signing the contract?
Absolutely — We encourage that you do! Give us a call or fill out our contact form to set up a tasting.

How big are the ice cream carts?
Our portable carts are roughly 7 ft. long by 3 ft. wide.

My venue is upstairs and there isn’t an elevator. Can the ice cream carts go up stairs?
Unfortunately not, since the cart is too heavy to carry. It weighs over 300 lbs when loaded with ice cream!  But not to worry we offer a Tabletop Bar option that can provide ice cream to your guests.

How many flavors can the ice cream cart hold?
Up to 6 flavors can be displayed at a time and 3 for the Tabletop bar.

How many people can you serve?
We can serve as many as 300 people from one of our carts and 100 from our Tabletop Bar.

How far can you travel?
We can travel anywhere!  Our service options include 50 miles of round-trip travel from our shop in Holly Springs, NC

to your event location. Events with greater than 50 miles round-trip are subject to a travel fee.
